Dometic Awning Changes for 2025: Dometic is discontinuing all of its Awning Fabrics for Awnings with Flexible Metal Weather Shields and complete Awnings with Flexible Metal Weather Shields. If you have an awning with the Flexible Metal Weather Shield and need a fabric, you must remove the metal cover and use a universal fabric. The universal fabric will work fine without the metal cover.

LED Lights on the Fabric: If your Dometic Awning has LED lights on the fabric at the side of the RV where the fabric slides into the Awning Rail, there are freight charges. Due to the way they ship Fabrics with LED Lights, the fabric has to be shipped via a trucking company and not UPS.  There are options to avoid this if you prefer not to pay for extreme shipping. A universal fabric can be used, and rather than using the Dometic style of LED lights, you can add an LED light strip below the awning and accomplish the same thing. The light strip adheres to the side of the RV. 

Fabric Colors: Dometic has discontinued all of the Acrylic fabrics (which feel like canvas) and four of the vinyl fabric colors, leaving Onyx, Sandstone, Solid Black, and Solid White. If preferred, Onyx and Sandstone can be ordered with a Black weather guard.
